Anyone able to post screenshots of your WOW ui running on the m11x at native resolution?

I use a preconfigured ui called ElvUi which is pretty great and I'm really used to. If I can fit it on the m11x I'm interested in ordering asap, the m15x just seems too big.

Also, I'm presuming the m11x would perform well using a 1680x1050 external LCD running Warcraft? The desktop that runs it now only has a 9800gt

Mine played WoW with moderate settings on my 1080p TV.

Runs everything but shadows maxed at native resolution.

I have an R1, using community-provided updated drivers.

Bottom Line: WoW runs Great on the m11x.

This. And I use both R1 and R2 and R1 runs a bit better. But they both perform superbly

    Awesome!

Sounds like performance won't be an issue, I don't mind turning off shadows as I hardly notice them and it results in a huge performance increase on all the desktop/notebooks I have played on before.

Now I'm mostly just curious if I'm going to be able to "fit" ElvUI onto that tiny screen. I suppose I can adapt it some, and move things around, maybe remove some elements that aren't crucial for when I'm using the built in 11.6" screen.

Looking @ the Dell Site, I see I can order the i5 520UM/250gb HDD/4GB RAM model for $999, and it would ship Monday. However, the i7 640UM/500gb HDD/8GB RAM model is only $1099 but doesn't ship until the 18th.

Is the i7/8GB RAM model going to be considerably faster or show much better performance? I'm not terribly concerned about the HDD space, and 8GB of RAM seems like overkill, I guess.

I love my i7. I do not regret it. As for wow you may get maybe 1-2 extra frames from it. But I would go for the i5 if you arent concerned about being future proof from other games.

I don't see how this could be possible, but would love to hear it.

There is a whole thread on it. Something to do with optimus. Im using both and the r1 gets about 10fps over the R2.

Yessir. My R2 gets about 30fps on the same settings my R1 gets 35-40fps. But in more elevated games like BC2 and Black Ops my R2 is getting 60 where my R1 only barely breaks 20-25.

That's surprising. I was under the impression the r2 saw 50+ fps in WoW. I don't imagine down clocking your 335m significantly reduced your fps. So what gives?

There has been a dedicated thread for this issue. its over 30pages long. Many people speculate that Optimus is to blame (like previously stated). It is still wonderful and in raid scenario does outperform the R1. But when it comes down to it in most situations it pulls 5-10fps less. OCing the GPU doesn't work for the R2 in this game because it creates a crash that happens 30min in. Weird enough, the OC for that 30min adds about 10-20fps on Ultra.

Well, I upgraded my desktop to a GTX 460 1GB, bought the monitor from DeeVu's sig (Samsung Syncmaster 23" LED Syncmaster @ 1920x1080) and overclocked the E8400 to 3.4ghz (like 15%, running smoothly).

Now I'm still interested in the m11x, but patiently waiting for a price drop back around where they were a couple weeks ago before I decided to buy one (or even looked them up!)

I'm interested in the i5 model, just don't care for the $1k pricetag. Any suggestions?

Oh btw guys. Found out that it was because I was using Fullscreen (windowed). My fault. I turned my R2 to ultra with 8x multisample and get about 30fps in org center and 40-60 outside. Guess setting it to fullscreen does wonders. (oh and did I mention this is in 1080p?)
