M11x - Modern Warfare 3 Discussion

How is it running? Any suggested optimizations

im on the fence again between PS3 and PC (I have an m11xr2). I played Blackops easily 150 hours multi and had no problem/tolerated the issues.

Anyone get MW3 yet? how does it compare? i know the 'engine should be the same as mw2" but you know know.

I dont have the money to purchase right now... maybe someone else will come up with a benchie on r1

 

really? fps? (there should be a console command), also did u play blackops? how does it compare?

 

don't think console is enabled.. but used fraps to do a quick bench.. ran around and killed some people for a few minutes

min: 35fps
max: 62fps (vsync is on.. i don't like tearing)
average: 46fps

Lets hope as more people trickle in this is the norm for m11xr2....

I hate that all of these developers cant come to a solution to integrate GS/Trophys into one combined scoring system. UGH

 

They can , it's called GFWL.

It's awesome , and every single game that use it , people are like BLAAAAAAAAAA that suck

Actually , the only thing that suck is the number of activation / gamertag wich is perfectly idiot. But i think this was on Gears of War PC time , thoses crap are over now.

Steam for games , GFWL for achievements = win.

No , and i'm a bit sad about it. Call of Duty is the most sell game on Xbox , and PC version don't even have Xbox achievements ...

But you have the call of duty Elite feature ! With a cool price of 60€ / year !

graphics card is same so performance should be fairly similar to R2,- on the R1 that is. Unless theres a lot of physics for CPU to take care of, it will run nearly identical.

 

That's good results at 45 fps. I installed it on mine and it lags so bad, I run a mx11r2 8gb ram but not ssd. What is your video setting like? I regret buying it for pc as it lags, but your setting might change my mind here...

 

here is a video I uploaded. M11x R2 Maxed settings. supposedly the DVD version 1.0 has a graphic card glitch which don't allow you to change the Texture settings. So I went into the Config.cfg and changed the seta r_imagesQuality and set it to 4. I don't think the game is going to lag anymore than the section in this video. there is a lot of fire fighting.

I would say take 10-ish frames from whatever the R2s are getting.

 

That is amazing, something is really wrong with mine. Unplayable at best, I wonder whether there is something wrong with my mx11r2 or whether the ssd has something to do with it.......

guys, what graphic card version are you using, and did you have to do anything to the nvidia programme (whitelisting, switching, etc).

 

285.62 WHQL. You gotta whitelist the launcher on Optimus because the application is new, though.

Same, I'm getting about 40+ FPS on almost maxed out settings. The only things that aren't maxed are anti-aliasing and v-sync, which are off. But my AF is cranked to the max, my texture settings are all at extra, shadows are on... This game runs great compared to Black Ops. IW forever.

i have actually tested out with both 285.62WHQL drivers and old dell 257 drivers.......40-50FPS no v-sync

both working identically good.....be honest....didnt notice that much of a difference....maybe few frames....but......good as hell

 

looks a bit iffy as it does go below 30fps and that just doesn't feel acceptable.

 

will have to try this, because i got a feeling it might be running on the intel graphic card as everyone is getting such good fps...... another dumb question, do you have the path where the launcher is located... (so sorry, real PC noob here).

for everyone that is getting 40-50FPS go into your Call of Duty Modern Warfare folder then into the players2 folder and open the config.cfg file and search for "seta r_imageQuality" to see if it is set to 4. When I first installed this game it was set to 1 no matter what I changed in the ingame Video settings. I notice that there was a big difference in Texture quality after I changed it.

So.. do you think this will run on the m11x R1 , black ops did not run well on it and im wondering if you think it would be worth it and playable on LOW SETTINGS 30+ FPS ON M11X R1 please respond not sure if i should buy a ps3 to play this game. thanks

 

I think it will be able to. It is already running much better than black ops... if the R1 could run mw2, it will run this (they're pretty much the same game )

 

OMG my FPS is fixed, whitelisting is the issue, thanks so much all!!! LOVE THIS GAME.

 

No problem, now if you could just click on that hourglass under my username...

But anyway, just for whomever it might concern, try turning off the color blind support. I did that and I got improved picture quality and an extra 5 FPS. A friend of mine had it on and he was complaining about how everything was washed out.

Don't just turn it on because it's an option. Hahaha

my r1 run this game flawlesslyyyyy. it's a must buy for R1 owner.
maxed out setting, no v-syn, 4x AA, may reduce a bit when playing multi... awesome game ,

 

That's great news for R1 owners. What's the FPS like on those settings?

 

never deep below 25, around 28-40 and I havent try to reduce the settings yet

However, my CPUs and GPU are overcloked heavily (2.0ghz for CPUs, and 550/1320/820 for GPU)

 

Is your R1 pinmodded?

My game freeze's for up to 10 secs every now and again on my R2. Is anyone else getting this?

 

I played one match today where the game lagged every 20 or so seconds - the user hosting had an awful connection.

You could just be unlucky, but I'm running the game fine on stock R2 settings.

 

I tried today on my R1. I went straight into multiplayer with everything turned off and the textures and video quality both set to high. The game runs flawlessly, I was getting 70-90 fps when I joined the server and from the little running around I did I didn't see it drop below 60. The game looks like crap anyway so turning the other stuff off doesn't make much of a difference. I don't like the game or the series, but I'm not mad I bought the game just because of how well I can run it on my laptop (which is a little pathetic that they just remade mw2). Can't believe this game was 60 bucks.

 

also bought the game today i have a default r1, downloaded the gaem went to multiplayer adn the game runs perfect can easily play and these are on a little over medium settings, i think this will run on any m11x.

 

Has any one tried playing on a monitor yet?

 

I have the R1 (SU4100) with no mods or programs (not even gamebooster) so basically the least powerful M11x there is. Just downloaded it and played on single player. Native resolution with everything turned off. Averaged around 30 fps during the first, action packed mission. Hardly ever dropped below 30 and even then the lowest I got was like 22 fps; which is playable in my books. Anyone got more info on multiplayer? I'm afraid the version I have does not have it! If it runs well on multiplayer, I will take the plunge.

 

I already posted that multiplayer runs flawlessly, better than single player.

I have the M11x with the i5 processor. MW3 runs perfectly on all High settings around 34-45 fps... I could bump up to extra but it looks perfectly fine on High and with amazing performance.. Highly recommend this game.

 

do you have any overclocks on?

i might get this, but i really dont play many fps...

 

I only have a bios stock OC nothing else.

I run it on my R3 i5 with everything on high 4x AA 1920x1080 on my 55 inch samsung and it runs like a champ never lags at all and looks great.

 

Hey guys i have the R3 i-7 and when i play MW3 i find i chop and lag its only ok when i put it on low setting and everything off...witch looks like crap im going crazy trying too find the problem...any help would be great ty
