I wondered if anyone has tried one out yet on the m11x? Our screen is 720p (for the most part) and most hdtv comes across as 1080i.

Has anyone tried one of these tuners out to see how our laptop scales to it?

    Best wishes,

    StevenX

Since nobody piped up, I picked up the Hauppage USB 950q from Best Buy for 60 bones. It works GREAT! Comparing the picture to my Sony Bravia lcd... The m11x only has 720p of rez vs the sony which is 1080p. No comparison. You can tell the difference of approx 300 lines makes. However it does look AMAZING in my opinion. You can download the driver from the website to get it to interact with Windows Media Center. So much detail and channels and descriptions. I give it 5 outta 5 stars. Even the little Antenae works great. No external power needed. Only USB, good signal (big city) and a few minutes to setup.

So picture this folks... Integrated Graphics (intel 4500) plus battery power, plus usb hdtv = approx 3 to 4 hours of HDTV on battery.

    PEACE!

Sorry to bring up an old thread everyone but I am curious to know if we could put an internal tv tuner inside the m11x. For those that op out of the wwan card for wireless internet, could it be possible for a micro pcmcia tv tuner card to fit in that slot and work with the antennas dedicated for the wireless internet ? are the antennas even there for someone that didn't chose to have the Verizon or Att wireless internet ?

If anybody can point me out in the right direction would be appreciated it.
I am getting my m11x r2 hopefully by the 2nd or 3rd. Was going to be the 11th, so crossing my fingers.

    Thanks in advance.
