    Im wondering if the new 275 drivers from the nvidia site are worth it in terms of performance upgrades and stabilitiy; I know you cant use the Fn + F6 button to switch but if it increases fps and/or stability, i think its a fair trade right?

    edit = i have the r1 model

    Depends on how much gaming you do.

    games I play often at the moment are

    Team Fortress 2
    and a guilty pleasure free mmorpg that im too ashamed to say =[

    I plan to play Guild wars 2 when it comes out

    I mean i think the new drivers are built towards the 5 series of nvidia mobile cards, dont think it will do anything for my 335m

    The 270 series of drivers is definitely worth it the 275 driver not so much. I got about a 10%+ boost in fps all around from upgrading from 267 to 275.

    No. No switching it would have to be always with the GPU on. I play everything from WoW, to Black Ops, to Medal of Honor, to Bad Company 2, to Amnesia. All gained in performance.

    For max performance and switching capabilities just grab the driver off of the dell site.

    ok so I have spent my thursday night just getting stressed out at the 267 driver.. ( didnt want to get 270 ) and holy crap...

    It installed but then all of a sudden my intel graphics disappeared and then all hell broke loose cause...I even had to system to restore just to get back to where I am..

    So im just sticking with the dell driver because none of the nvidia drivers are working for my R1...

    Yeah... the dell driver is the only one that WOULD work with the R1. None of the NVidia drivers are switchable. you would have to set your BIOS to discrete to use the NVidia drivers.

    Ever sinice I updated my drivers away from the Dell's recommended ones it has given me nothing but compatibly issues as far as Flash player, gaming artifacts, and heat issues, also memory leaks, etc. I do not recommend it at all. But for some reason people on these forums feel its fine and have no issues.

    (On a side note I previously had to reformat my harddrive because of updating to the latest beta NVIDIA drivers. The install failed and my 335M card was no longer recognizable. Just saying. And again, I see people saying it installed fine on there configuration but for me that was the last straw. Also I know how to install drivers correctly it has nothing to do with the way I installed them.)
