Through EPP can get the 799 model for 669. Is this a good deal or pretty normal. If you are just using it to surf web, you tube that kind of stuff is there any reason to upgrade anything. Stock I-5 model is 800 tempted to go for that one but think is overkill for what I need.

are we talking American Dollars, Euros, etc...

If you're only surfing the web and watching YouTube videos, then getting this laptop at all is complete overkill. The M11x is designed as a portable gaming laptop; if you're not gaming, you're paying for more than you need with this system. You could get a laptop similar to the base model in terms of size and performance (minus the dedicated graphics) for less than $500.
However if you're really set on getting an M11x, the base model with a Core 2 Duo should be more than sufficient. A Core i5 would only be needed for more CPU-intensive applications.
As far as the deal you're getting, I doubt you're going to find the base model much cheaper than that so if this really is the laptop that you want I say go for it. -
usd and I know it is over kill. I want something sub 13 inches that has a bit of style .

I Seen this deal to, saved it in fact, just need to come up with the mula! I would gather it dosnt get much better then this deal for the m11x any time.
-
i would go with something else if you're not going to game.
-
Firstly, there's the cost aspect. Since a computer suitable for web browsing and YouTube can be had for less than $500, you are paying $200 more for the style aspect alone.
In addition to this, there is the weight and size factor. Since the M11x is a gaming-oriented laptop, it is bulkier and heavier than laptops of comparable sizes.
So by going with a gaming laptop, not only are you paying much more than you have to, you are also sacrificing portability. -
ok give me some good suggestions for sub 500 notebook

if i never bought my m11x r2 which i love, i would of gotten the Toshiba Portégé® R700 Laptop Computers
