My m11x R1 has a 5% battery wear. Is that normal?

5% is nothing, don't worry about it, as long as it`s under 10% after a year of use it`s fine, I would prefer 0%, I have had 20+ notebooks and the majority of them had 3%+ wear from new, one even had 12%, a couple even had more capacity than the battery specifications, an extra 3% :)

You will only find the battery`s true wear level after a couple of calibrates, some bios have a battery calibrate option, but if yours does not just charge your battery to 100% and then boot into the bios and then remove the power plug and leave the notebook till it switches itself off, then give the battery 30mins to cool down and then plug in the power adaptor and let the battery charge to 100% with notebook tuned off, then check the wear level.
