Hello everyone! Nice to meet the community here.

I just got an alienware m11x r1 with 8gb on the clearance sale on Dell, nice little bargain.

Sadly I had it for less than a week and the Dell Tech had to come out and replace my motherboard as it just gave up.

Well what I noticed before this happend was a weird alien like distortion noise from the audio and it is happening again, the Tech on the phone said it would be fine after motherboard change

Sadly it is still happening and I was wondering if you guys had any thoughts about this?

    Thanks a lot,

    JBanks

Ok, tried with headphones in and seem to get no problems :) Was getting the same distortion before I plugged them in.

Blown Speakers? Try moving the sound from left to right speaker to see if one is blown. Mine was on a refurbished.

Might not be blown, I know the left speaker can come loose pretty easy. If it is that just open the bottom up and wedge a piece of card between the chassis and the speaker box.

Ok, I get some issues when using the headphones, after using it for a while I hear the noise but it is a little fainter, almost like the whole laptop pauses for a while.

Ive had the laptop for two weeks, motherboard replaced already... think I should get the technician out again.

Thanks for all the comments so far.
