I'm running the R1 i got from Best Buys. This is the one with:
1.3Ghz Core2Duo 3mb cache
Nvidia GT335m switchable graphics
4gb ram
I play Modern Warfare 2 on medium-high settings fine on 1024x768. I can play Left 4 Dead 2 on high settings, highest resolutions, and get around 40FPS
But when I started playing Battlefield BC2 yesterday on my default medium settings (@1024x768) and I turned AA and anisotropic down to 1x (can't turn off on BC2), I still feel like the graphics are not smooth and i'm getting 0.1 second blinking patches here and there. The color quality still looks great except I don't wanna bet it's higher than 15fps . Could it be directx issues?
I'm going to try to install the latest GT335 drivers from Dell/Alienware that were released on 06/29/10 last week and see if it fixes some issues.

may sound stupid but did you make sure to switch to the nvidia graphics?
Not insulting your intelligence since you've played the other games but maybe you could have forgotten
Someone posted his windows index and he thought it was low, turned out to be the switch was on integrated and his score bumped to 6.5 -
I'm using the 189.* drivers that came installed on my m11x and I was running Bad Company 2 hooked up to a 24" monitor at 1920x1200 at medium settings.
As danyune mentions, open the Nvidia Control panel and make sure the correct Bad Company 2 .exe file is utilizing the "High performance video processor". Look under the "Manage 3D settings" option on the left and thenthe "Program settings" tab.
Correct Executable name: BFBC2Game.exe -
yikes i need to open my eyes please ignore..
