I bought my M11x back on 3/9/10 and as of 4/4/11 my battery is failing. Wonderful.
I understand the battery only has a one year warranty. Has anyone else had their battery fail so soon after the warranty ran out on it? Is Dell good about replacing it or will they make me pay for a new one? If so how much are they charging? I can't find the replacement online.
This battery is bad though, it goes from 100-85%, then suddenly 7% and tells me to plug into an outlet. It lasts at most 50 minutes.
I've already had the hard drive fail on this machine and the infamous display hinge issue fix. So far Dell is just as bad as HP for failure rates in my experience.

I changed my battery 2 times!!...
It is normal to fail in one year... Mine has 3 months and it is Ok, but my warranty ran out so I should be more carefull... -
Mine also failed, only works like 9 months... changed under warranty.

So neither of you had to pay for the battery replacement?
Any idea what a replacement at 1+ years costs? Anyone actually paid for one? I can't find it to buy anywhere. -
