    Hello All,

This evening I was posed with this problem from my 2+ yr old M11x.

Turned on the device, Black Screen... Lit Keyboard, No Post.. Then after about 7 tries,it finally gave me a post and log in, where I got all of a sudden 4 beeps hang.

That at least gave me a clue to check my memory, and sure has heck, one was not fully seated. I re-seated the memory and all is well again.

I just wanted to post that if you are getting a Black Screen, No Post - Lit keyboard scenario, and happened not to be lucky like I was to get a clue from a random lucky post with a beep error - Check the seating of your memory, a semi-seated memory issue can cause this problem. I seen some posts out there in the inter-webs, with no solution, so hopefully this will provide some use to M11x owners out there.

    Rob

I had the same problem happening a couple of weeks ago. Same thing, checked RAM, and after that the problem was sorted. The laptop had a small drop from about half a foot, not too serious, but enough to make me pull my hair out in frustration for an hour.

Hey Binro, thanks for sharing +1rep :)
4 beeps is related to Memory failure. Re-seating Ram should be the 1st step to try.
