My bluetooth software doesn't seem to work. I have updated the drivers from both Dell's website and WidComm's site.
The WidComm software requires the device being turned on (which I assume requires the Dell driver) but when I have it on and run the WidComm software it says "cannot configure your device, contact the manufacturer."
When I do the dell driver it says it works and i just need to Log off but when I log back on nothing works but the icon in the tray shows and I can turn it off.
I have the little icon in the tray and the only thing that works is turning it off. When I click open settings, I get the hour glass for a split second and then nothing happens. If I try to add or show devices it opens the devices and printers part of the control panel but nothing loads.
A bubble pops up saying my bluetooth isn't discoverable and I need to 'click here' to change it. Clicking it does nothing. It will not find my discoverable bluetooth phone nor can my phone find my laptop.
What's the deal? I'm at a loss. Is there no bluetooth program or any UI at all? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Silly questions first, you do have Bluetooth enabled in BIOS and you do have a Bluetooth chip installed on the motherboard?

Yes it is enabled in the BIOS and it is installed on the motherboard. No question is silly, my friend.
