    M11x R1 price went up to $800?

    Not sure if it is permanent, but looking at dell's site now, I only see the R1 and R3. Am I wrong on that one? Is the R2 still available?

    I might have called this one!

    By the looks of it, the R1 will stay as the entry model...The R2 is no longer available on the main site (Just like the M17 R2) and they are doing a blow out on M15x starting @ 999. Anyone want a M15?

    And M11x price is still $599 for base SU7300 model. It's a good deal, and the $200 discount doesn't expire until 2012...

    It makes sense to do it this way since they are probably more profitable on the R1 at $599 than they would be on the R2 at $699 - $799. Add to that the confusion of i5/i7 vs. i5/i7 and seems like keeping the entry model as a very competitively priced R1 is the better choice for them. It may be a year old, but the R1 is still and awesome choice at the asking price.
