My M11x just randomly shut downs after a few minutes booting up... Do you guys think I should send it to warranty?

It could be your overclock, try turning it off.

Mine does that too, but not as much, I can game fine on it OCd for hours. But if I leave it be or do just windows tasks it will random reboot. With the oc turned off its never crashed.

What I would suggest to both of you is to call Alienware (not Dell) for support.

Random lockups / shutdowns / BSODs can happen for any number of reasons. And it is very difficult to diagnose and troubleshoot this kind of stuff via forum posts.

Call Alienware (not Dell) for support. They will be able to determine whether the problem is software-related or hardware-related. If it is software-related, they will be able to instruct you how to restore the laptop back to factory condition, and remove any potentially unstable applications / drivers that you may have installed since receiving the laptop. If it is hardware-related, they will be able to issue a Service Order to have someone replace the defective part(s).

As someone already mentioned, if you're overclocking, turn it off. Otherwise, there's really nothing else you can do besides call support. No clean install will fix hardware problems.
