This is a problem I had with this computer since I gotten it a year ago. Basically my fps in all games is all over the place. I will use TF2 for example because it is the most obvious here. Fps in that game can go as high as 100 and as low as 15 and everywhere in between. This happens on all games no matter how demanding they are but happens a lot less on more demanding games ( For obvious reasons, dayz runs at 20 fps normally, might dip to 10 in action, there is just less room for it flux ).
I'm not a person that usually cares about a super high frame rate I just wish it wouldn't keep jumping 20+- frames all the time. Does anyone know a way to help stabilize the frame rate?

You should change the power settings to maximum and always keep the computer connected to power while gaming. Here are some gaming tips from the AGS department and also check that your Optimus settings are properly done.

i have the same problem. It's so annoying. I'm playing cs:go getting around 70 fps and then 5 min later, it gets 20 and stays there. I paid 1300 . I tried everything i could do possible like reformat, oc, and using different tools.

It could also be related to heat, have you checked the temperature of your CPU and GPU while playing?
