For some reason with my m11x plugged in my current clocks look like this..

ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting

How does this make sense? they are much much lower than default clocks. Sometimes when i restart they go back to normal what may be the problem here?

    Thanks.

I can only guess that the clock is running at 2D mode. (ie it down clocks when in the desktop environment, and then clocks up when in 3D mode ie D3/Skyrim/MW3/etc)

    Regards.

Hi Ikarah, regarding the clocks on the GPU, CEUOTC has a good point.
Also make sure all of your system settings are in high performance:
    Battery
    Alienware Command Center
    Nvidia Control Panel

Try out this tool: Download TechPowerUp GPU-Z v0.6.2 | techPowerUp.
Also make sure you give that a try using both, the Dell driver and the Nvidia one; just to compare them.
