I have an M11x R2 that has the following problem.
If freshly reboot the machine and then locally RDP into the machine it will stay connected without any issue at all.
If I send the laptop to sleep or hibernate and then do a local RDP session say the next day, it will disconnect about every 10 minutes and have to reconnect.
I thought it could be the wireless card in the laptop so I replaced it with an Intel 6200. Nothing changed.
I run two Linksys WRT54GL with Tomato and WDS.
Any ideas?
*note by local I mean over LAN not WAN. Internet connectivity is not the issue.

I would think that would have to be an issue with RDP at the OS level rather than hardware, router, etc.
If your laptop is going to sleep then the you would think that the session is going into a disconnected state and then timing out. My guess is that it's not doing a proper disconnect. I would imagine that if you were to log out of the session before you put it to sleep then you wouldn't have this problem. -
I do log-out of the session before closing the lid... -
And a reboot always fixes the issue? Have you tested this with the M11x on a wired only connection?
-
No. I have not tried a wired connection yet. -
Check # of processes before/after RDP session... ?
