Now that 8GB are dirt cheap, I'm considering upgrading my poor 2GB of ram.

I honestly don't even need it at this point since all I do on my M11x is pretty much watching videos via HDMI to my TV.

    Will these work?

    Newegg.com - Computer Hardware, Memory, Laptop Memory, 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM, 8GB (2 x 4GB)

Which one would you get? and why from the link?

Oh and will getting the 8GB, use it on M17x, then using the 4GB from my M17x to M11x work?

    Thanks folks!

It should work fine, the ram from the m17 should down clock to the proper frequency. Also it seems like you already have both in your specs so why not try and switch the ram to make sure there are no issues.

I'm just trying to avoid opening up the M11x because the screws are close to being stripped.

    Thanks again.
