Are you asking if someone will try the 260.99 drivers? If you are they don't require a modded .inf file at all, they support the m11x & optimus officially now with no need for modding. Now if you're asking about the 258.96Beta drivers then I have no idea. Let us know which one you mean as your post is a bit confusing. Shoot me a PM if you'd like me to try them out for you, I'm currently running 260.99 but have never tried the 258.xx series drivers.

I thought Dell's engineers had to modify each driver after nvidia's release? Anyways is the 250s or the 260s series better?

The current 260s aren't much different than the 250s. The biggest difference being that, as has been stated, 260.99 supports the m11x without modding. Laptop manufacturers generally choose to modify drivers after their release to tweak them to suit the particular system, but that is not necessary. The problem before was the the nvidia verde release didn't officially support the 335m.

260.99 all the way. They are the latest official build for our laptop straight from nVidia, no modding needed.
