    can anyone pin point or diagnose what the problem is with my new m11x R2.

    The problem is that as soon as windows log on, the colours on my desktop wallpaper appear distorted, some what very bright and blurry, and then with-in a few seconds it blends back into the normal colour.

    If any has experienced this please respond because i wondering weather if this is a common problem, i have tried to google this but to no avail.

    Thanks

    I remember having a simular issue with my old XPS M170. Have you changed your desktop wallpaper from the default alienware ones?

    From what I think it could be, go to you Intel graphic and change it to maximum performance. It seems like the problem I had before, If its on max battery or balanced, it will wash out the colors to save battery.

    My current settings are power save, i have now changed it to MAX PERFORMANCE, I will reboot my R2 later and will post the results.

    I hope you are right but this does make logical sense....

    If that does happen to work, then:
    Start-> Control Panel-> Intel Graphics settings->

    and disable Intel DPST. (screenshot is of old version)
