    M11x R3 Crash Wont Start

    Hi, my M11x R3 crashed as soon as the charger was inserted into it (my girlfriend was using it at the time so I'm relaying whatever info she gave me). All the colors unique to the Alienware started flashing red and then the screen went black but the colors persisted, apparently turning different colors at this point while the screen stayed black. There was a 'Zzzz' sound repeating as well. By the time I saw it, approximately 20 seconds after this occurred most of the colors just went black but the power button colors were faintly flickering green which I then held to force shut down, but there was no 'zzz' sound at that point. At this point the laptop won't show any signs of life.

    Because this happened when the charger was inserted I can only assume it surged? Perhaps something else could be the culprit? Any insight on the steps I should take next are much appreciated!

    Try without the battery, try a power drain and only one memory stick at the time.
