On World of Warcraft, Sunshaft is disabled like the option are greyed out and water settings can't go past fair. good/high/veryhigh is greyed out and disabled.

Is this also a problem with gt 335m on both r1/r2 or just an optimus thing and only r2/r3? Or is it an issue with GT 540m?

No issue on my R1 ;) old tech working at its finest :p

As a more constructive answer have to you the nv idia control panel WOW is a game and it needs more power as sometimes its not detected correctly from what i've heard and read.

Woot problem solved!! It is running on default DX9, when i changed it to DX11, Water and Sunshafts can be both adjusted to high and ultra and fps didn't even dip. Thanks Geforce 5 series for DX11 support ;)

R2 doesn't allow liquid detail to get past fair even on dx11? What about the sunshaft?
