Hey, my M11x R3 arrived yesterday in neb / red and it looks the business!

One thing I have noticed though is that my 5 LED battery power meter on the base is hard to press, anyone else experience this in the R3 because my R1 was fine. I think it might be the foam they have inserted between the base plate and the HDD to stop vibration thus lifting the back plate a little bit up away from the micro switch on the battery?

Maybe get some foam tape and put a little bit on the switch to raise that a little. Might make it easy to push.

Yeah I'll try that, not worth sending it back for a light switch :D

Also (and this might be me being really picky) has anyone noticed the M11x R3 lid a little off to the right I mean like 2-3mm? it's hardly noticeable but my old R1 never had this. I thought it might be due to a more robust hinge design?

Its probably not aligned right. When I repaired the hinges on my white m11x the lid didnt sit straight, I pushed it a little bit and now its straight :)

The bottom part of the hinge has alignment pins so that part is not really adjustable, but you can bend the hinges just a little bit and it will work.

Yeah I think pushing the lid from the front when closed has straightened it out, thanks for the tip! I'm getting too meticulous with these M11x due the problems I had with my R1 haha.

Still, straight out of the box small issues like lid misalignment, battery meter too hard to press and small glue bit on the inside of the monitor casing are enough to ask questions about.

So that's 3 things I've had to question about my brand spanking new R3, thankfully it got 8300 3dmark06 scores out of the box with no O/C so I'm pleased. :D

Yeah my lid is pretty straight on the more I look at it, these small things grow in your mind as big problems when all the time I should be installing the Witcher 2 and enjoying my M11x HAHA :D
