Hi all, first post. Have read a lot of other threads concerning this but have a few questions of my own.

I read about getting discounted warranty rates if you waited to buy it and called once you received your offer in the mail. I just received my today and states I can extend it for an additional 3 years for (as low as) $370. Is this as expensive as it seems? I was thinking it would be in the ~$200 range. Can you call and get a lower rate or what has everyone else done about it?

Another wrench in the gears is that I'm going over seas for about two years starting in August and am not sure how warranty work would be accomplished if needed. I'm in the military and don't have much faith in the APO system to safely send and return my investment to me.

    All opinions/info appreciated.

very expensive, almost half the price of a brand new m11x r1

    $150-200 would've been more appropriate

I called to price match the squaretrade deal the other day. While Delhi..I mean, Dell wasn't willing to match the price, they offered a one-year extension for $175 or two-years for $275 plus a $75 store purchase card. So your quoted price seems in line with this, but it's still expensive.

All the same, if you're going abroad then it's probably worth it to go with the Dell warranty extension since they actually provide more or less global coverage.

I might just go ahead and do it. It is pricy but I really don't want to worry about this thing taking a dump on me and having no easy way to fix it.
