My M11X has the Dell 1520 Wlan card in it now. Does anyone know if the Intel WiFi Link 5100 will work and if so will it be any better than the 1520 card?

I put the intel 6200 card in, works great. With the dell card I would get 1 bar in my office, the intel card I get 4 bars.

Swapped in the intel 6200 as well, works great. Very easy to install. My crappy wifi signal at work is now much more reliable.
-
Also swapped to the intel 6200, connection strength to my router increased by 1 bar, range increased pretty significantly.

interesting. never thought of doing this...
edit:
im i missing something.. dont these cards have the same stats? -
I am about to order this. Do I just pop out the 1520DW Half-Mini Card and pop in the Intel 6200?

I too have also installed the Intel 6200
Big improvement in distance -

How many antennas does it have?
Edit: Two -
Does the Dell card support Wireless N ?
-
Does the intel 6200 card affect battery life?

Dell max speed 150Mbps
Intel max speed 300Mbps
When you buy one chances are you might even get a cloneavoid the ebay.

Bringing this back from the dead. My stock wireless card is just horrible. Webpages have just been loading slower and slower. I have always had latency issues. My other laptops don't have any problem. I have pretty much pinned it down to this wireless card. I am ordering the Intel one as I type this.

Wrong way to test. DL via LAN not wireless. If both on same network only test one at a time.

Nice! I think I need this Intel 6200 then... I'm pretty unimpressed by the stock wifi card in this thing.
What kind of speeds are you all getting with the 6200? -
Im getting lots of system freezes... as do some others. Do some search first then decide.
