    Hey Guys,
So I have a problem with my m11x r2 at school. The wireless card it has is WLAN Half-mini card. It connects at home and at friend's house just fine but doesn't seem to connect to my apartment's (school managed wireless connection.)

It find and connects to the network but does let me browse etc. (doesnt receive anything). The network is noted as unsecure although it is for students like me. I also checked online but to no avail to anything that could simply fix it.

Hopefully someone has fixed this before. Thanks

Do you have to register your computer with the school's network first? My school's network is also "unsecured," so it will connect, but I have to register its mac address before it will let me go anywhere but the registration page.

Yeah my schools the same deal however it never prompts to accept student regulations etc. I even went on their its page and registered my MAC address. if it makes it any better they said encryption didn't handle 128 which I think I lowered still to no avail.

If anything is this a router issues, LAN card issue, or a Windows?

Sorry for any mistakes on phone

Sometimes even though a network is unsecure additional login information can be requested in the browser. For example for my school. The wireless is unsecure all over campus. But once you open the browser it prompts for a student login and password... Maybe its the web browser you are using or firewall is blocking something... Just throwing that out there

Yeah same for my campus. I don't think its a login issue and I messed with the firewall but may have not done enough on it. For the m11x what firewall should I mess with? Also have avira downloaded

Just a heads up I fixed it... although I honestly dont have a solution for this I lucked out. My school recently installed a 802.11n and so following their procedures I was able to connect.

Lets see if this is stable since I actually connected before but died soon after.
