i also use my 32" 720p tv sometimes as extended monitor and sometimes just as primary monitor when i play SC2, WOW and when i watch some online movie streaming services. when u connect your monitor to your m11x and you see black borders, just set your m11x resolution to 1360x768 and it will display in fullscreen. enjoy :)

I use my 26" VIZIO 1080p LED TV for everything on my m11x when around the house. HDMI plugged, and I play everything maxed resolution.

I'm considering getting an M11x as it is extremely portable and would make a good gaming laptop that makes college use very easy. However, I am concerned on how the resolution looks on a larger TV. A 26-32" is what I will probably aim for.

Does anybody have any screenshots or input on how the M11x resolution looks on an external?

    Thanks!

As long as the m11x can output your tvs native resolution you won't notice any difference then w/e else you attach to your tv, ala cable box.

Might want to bring something to college that you can't game on, imo.

How I fixed having large black bars on my 42" hdtv:

-Set image to appear only on TV instead of cloning the m11x display.
    -Set resolution to 1920x1080.

Somewhere in the middle, I did toggle an overscan setting in my TV,
but I don't know if that is what caused 1920x1080 to appear as an option.

    profit.

well i wouldnt use the m11x on more then a 720p hd tv, because when playing games you may run into gpu limitations if you go to 1080p.

Should still be fine for '1080p' movies.

Or use 1080p upscaled, like millions with PS3 and 360 owners with 1080p HDTVs....

Set the laptop to 1080p, the games to 720p, they don´t look that bad upscaled, at least they look better than 1080p native with low settings...
