I had the M11x R1 one month ago.
It already froze 2 times when I was playing games in the past 30 days.
It happened after 3 hours of playing. The screen became different colors, and the sound paused and kept repeating.
I wonder is it caused by overheating?

    PS:I overclocked the CPU.

Are you blocking the fan on the bottom?

There was another thread on this problem of the m11x "locking up". Not really sure what it is, but I suspect it's because of an unstable CPU overclock.

Mine was freezing constantly during games too. LFD2 and in WoW.

I downclocked down to 150 Mhz, and OC'ed the video card a bit with EVGA precision and im perfect now.

2 crashes in 1 month is nothing to be concerned about, it might have something to do with the game you were playing.

It's not overheating, if it is then the gpu performance will throttle and the temp will stop at a specific threshold

What you are experiencing is probably a driver or bios issue
