I am looking at buying something smaller than my R2. I want to be able to take it on battery for a long time, and I want to be able to game on battery. So I decided I want the M11x I am looking at the old and new version, but I wanted to get some feedback on configs. Is the base CPU on the new m11x worthy or should I go for an i7 if I choose to get that one. Basically I have no idea about the M11x, and I wanted to see how much better the new version is over the previous? What type of battery life can I see normal tasks vs gaming? Gaming settings on battery? Here are the configs I am looking at below. I don't know if the i3 is the R2 and the sandy bridge is the R3 as well.

    $1,708 with the i5
I know which one is better, but I just don't know how much and if it is worth the price premium and the battery life questions above. Really any performance at all, I really need some help in deciding your responses are appreciated.

the i5 and i7 are quad core procesors but there isnt a whole lot of battery drop from a dual core like the i3 or the r1 core 2 duo, maybe .5 to 1.5 hour drop on normal tasks, probly about 1.5 to 2 hours total use on gaming with sandy bridge and 2 to 2.5 hours with the dual core i3's and core 2 duos
