M11x keyboard turns on but laptop shows a black screen

I have an alienware m11x r1 and these past couple of days it has not been functioning as it should. When i turn it on, the keyboard and ALIENWARE letters light up but the screen remains off. I tried connecting the laptop to my monitor and it still gives the black screen. After many retries it turns on and like nothing happened but then ill use it for a couple of minutes and the screen goes off. ive noticed that when the computer turns on as it should, the WIFI light turns on followed by the bios screen and the alienware HEAD turns on (back of screen). When it doesnt work, the WIFI light is off followed by a black screen and the HEAD is off. Its not the screen because after a couple tries it turns back on. Also i reset it to factory setting but it didnt seem to work. please help.

 

Try removing the memory and trying 1 stick at the time.
