There was a thread about this previously, but disappointingly, it was for an r2, which doesn't really scratch. I am on my month old m11x R1 (which i absolutely love) and the only thing that is consistently getting to me is how easily this thing scratches. I have never dropped, scraped, bumped, etc. this laptop, and yet the beautiful back cover is literally covered in tons of hairline scratches, 5mm diameter scuffs, and even one large scuff thats about 10mm x 8mm. I have absolutely no Idea how these even got there!

Anyway, I just wanted to see if anyone knew of any good methods for removing (or at least improving) the scratches on this beast. I'm looking at the 3m car scratch remover and the novus polishing kit, both on amazon.

    Thanks in advance!

That's right, that thread is for the R1. The best advice I got when doing the same thing was to use a quality automotive polish. However, I decided to get my new hinges which comes with a completely new lid to begin with. That may be a viable option for anyone who hasn't received their new hinges yet.
