    M11x r1 on 8 gig ram............working well

    I put 8 gig (from 4) into mine the other day and its definatly an improvement. I have started doing some sound engineering stuff on it recently with adobe audition and it really helps when manipulating 100mb files etc.
    For the cost (£30 uk) a highly recomended upgrade.

    You certainly notice a difference when multitasking as well

    I did it, and I used a lot of VMs. I think it made a difference.

    Believe it or not, because of VM's I've upgraded my R3 to 16 gigs.........couldn't say 'No' to 16 gigs for ~$60

    That is the first upgrade I make to any computer I own...upgrade the RAM.

    Glad you noticed the difference. I do it just to be on the safe side.
