    M11x r1 shut down randomly

    guys. help me. my m11x shut down randomly. even it is overclock or not. still shut down randomly. help pls..

    Does it happen when it's being charged?

    If it only happens on battery power, try opening up the bottom panel and reseating the battery and securing both the hard drive and the RAM.

    it does not happen when battery charge. it only happens when on battery. . i always removing the battery. then after a week or a month. it happens again.

    Oh. Try pushing the bottom cover in more when you tighten the screws. That way the battery can't move as much.

    Or better yet, call Dell and ask for a new battery!

    It might be the RAM memory chip set.
    I had the same problem with my M11xR2 when I first got it, and it would randomly shut down.

    Located the problem and its was a faulty part in the ram memory chip that when accessed by the CPU it couldn't be read and therefore would shut down randomly.

    Had Dell exchange my RAM chips and the problem was no more.

    Do not know if it is the same issue when concerning the battery though.

    So the faulty RAM worked okay when you were plugged in? :/
