    Hey guys,

I like the looks of the Astro scout bag, my previous bag is 5+ years old (north face) and it has ripped bottom(both sides that i sewed back on).

Will this bag be good for carrying a m11x around campus + books?

Im asking because, is it tooooooooo big for the m11x and it wont have that same amount of protection?(tightness/stability)

Also, In the future when Alienware shows the new revisions/models, I am probably going to buy m17x r5 or whatever new model comes out close to the m17x size/specs.

Is it overkill for the m11x?

I think it would be perfect. From the pictures I have seen, the scout fits the m15x perfect, so it may be a stretch for the m17x. I plan to order one in the next few weeks for my m14x, but I can take some pictures of my m11x in it if you want.

I wish someone had an m11x/astro combo so I can see how it is.

My deadline for a new bag is August 30th (school starts haha)

So I think i might order it this week o.o but first i need to make a budget for school shopping hehe

I have the scout for my m17xr4- I slip it inside a thin sleeve and then put it in the main compartment. It's a touch tight but for me it's perfect and the bag is really awesome. So many pockets for all kinds of cords, charger, controller, mouse, headphones, etc. For the m17x that is-if you are getting an m17x this will be future proofing.

However, this dwarfs the m11x. [IMG]

Even in the sleeve it fits in both horizontally and vertically. [IMG]

For me the m11x is so small it can go in just about any bag. Hope this helps! If you need anything else let me know.

    ye one question,

once the m11x is in there, it wont move around?

also i have that same sleeve but I dont like to keep my laptop in it all the time. If i put the m11x naked into the bag, will there be any scratches?

    Thanks brahhh

whats that watch you are wearing?

The watch is a Ziiiro celeste mono. Very distinct. Takes a bit of getting used to, but it is possible to tell the time accurately after some time spent with it.

If you put the m11x in sideways it will not move around. However, the thing about the scout is that it elevates the computer a little at the bottom, but there are two essentially holes at the sides on the bottom that allow it to accommodate thicker things ( like xbox, ps3 - which is what the designers i believe had in mind when they made it ) or something wider and flatter like the m17x. The inside is lined with furry felt material. The bottom underneath the felt chamber is padded a bit too. If you didn't want to put it in the sleeve, ( a hassle I know ) you could probably just toss it in the main compartment but I would consider bolstering the padding on the bottom just in case, especially in those areas where there is no felt. I am at work currently and will try and document later what I attempted to describe here.

At the inferior part of the main compartment of the bag ( still inside but on the bottom) you can see the opening ( one on each side ). There is nothing to scratch it per se but I would be uncomfortable putting it in bare. You can see the back lining through the hole in the first pic.

    I ordered it today brah

thanks for the pics, i guess i can live with the sleeve but once i get it, i will use my brain to some use to modify without disturbing build quality and to ensure future use for the m17x r5/or w/e new model they come out with.

If you have the neo sleeve you can throw your M11x into just about any bag. I replaced my Belkin 11-13" laptop bag which fit the M11x perfectly for a regular backpack the moment i got my Neo sleeve, and couldn't be happier. Can fit my M11x into any bag i need to use, rather than having to squeeze everything i need into that tiny laptop bag.

Yeah I agree with the sleeve- I just toss my m11x in the sleeve and it's good to go.
