I haven't been using my m11x too much for gaming, but recently, I noticed that the graphics card is actually missing in the device manager.

Would installing ubuntu via wubi have something to do with this? I know linux has problems with the optimus.
I suspect the blue screen's I've been getting is related:
Is this a known problem? I downloaded the latest drivers from Nvidia website and it won't install because it doesn't detect the card. If all else fails, is there an automatic way of reformatting the computer to factory settings like the thinkpads have?Code:Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: d1 BCP1: 0000000000000028 BCP2: 0000000000000002 BCP3: 0000000000000000 BCP4: FFFFF88001611B2D OS Version: 6_1_7601 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 256_1 Files that help describe the problem: C:\Windows\Minidump\063012-19437-01.dmp C:\Users\Kent\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-44257-0.sysdata.xml Read our privacy statement online: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=104288&clcid=0x0409 If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt

It's also possible your video card as died, had similar issues with an R1 ended up replacing the mobo. Same problem drives kept returning a message the video card did not exist. Then on occasion it would work fine.
One suggestion is to set the system to discrete, if you then get boot beeps I think you may have a dead GPU. -

If you can't see the GPU on the bios or set it to discrete, most likely it's hardware.
Test what Philby said and keep us updated. -
I got into the bios (F12 on startup) and the Nvidia card showed up, but I wasn't able to scroll down to change it. So this means it's a hardware problem?
If so, what number should I call about the warranty? I bought it from the outlet. -

If you got it thru the Dell outlet you can still email us.

why? you could just send the email, the process itself is easier

I have more than 50 email correspondences from Dell regarding a refund i -SHOULD- have received in November of last year, as of now i have still not received it (last correspondence 2 months old now, still waiting on that infamous "call back" from you guys) and every email i send re-starts the process allover again.
