    I bought a m11x r2 once. Total piece of sh*t..

It had the hinge issue. They sent a tech who broke the keyboard. Replacement laptop had a broke hinge too...I returned it...

I noticed the R3 is out.

    1) Hinge fixed ?

    2) That screen sux. Any way to upgrade ? (imagine Highres IPS + m11x r3)

No way to upgrade unless you get an external monitor of some kind. I'd do that anyway if I had a M11, hell I'm gonna get a display port to HDMI so I can use my big monitor again.

    1. yes
    2. Apart from the possibility that you get separate display and install it yourself, no. AFAIK, only ejohnson has attempted such display mod.

    1: Hinge if fixed.
2: Unless you decide to install it yourself, there is no offical upgrade for the screen on the M11x. I pray that Dell/Alienware has plans for the R4...

If you had problems with r2 I doubt you will adapt to enjoy r3.

What's wrong with the screen? It seems super crisp and bright with a decent (albeit very odd) resolution. Comparing it to my old 700m, the m11x screen destroys it.

Some people just have higher expectations than others.

I personally think its fine for its price.

The screen doesn't suck too bad. But I disagree with the "for the price" statement. My Mini 9s have awesome screens.

    I love my screen.

HOWEVER, I would love to see an added IPS option (which I'd imagine would add 200+ to the pricetag - but many here would take advantage of)
