I was having a possible CMOS battery problem with my m11x after I tore it apart and blew the dust out. Before replacing the battery I decided to take the system apart again and reseat the battery. After rebuilding the system is totally dead!

The battery holds a charge but there is no activity at all when I press the power button! I tried a few times to take everything apart and rebuild but still the same result. I think I am in trouble here!!! can a dead CMOS battery keep the system from booting at all? When should I check?

    Help please!!!

    UPDATE:
    solved
when I took off the mouse section is disconnected the cable going to the fan without me noticing. Reconnecting solved the issue.
I got the 5beep beepcode and had to start up again on AC adapter only holding the fn button but besides that it looks like it is back to normal!
