Finally Dell replaced my LCD after a broken hing issue.
But sadly, the following keys stopped working:

ESC, left ALT, up arrow, and two letters (h&g).

The technician who installed the LCD says I will need a new keyboard.
But I believe it maybe a missin cable somewhere .

did anyone encounter the same problem?

It's possible that the cable isn't seated properly, but one would think that none of the keys would work if that were the case. Did he check the cable when he was there?

Here's the procedure for removing the R2 keyboard:

    R1 should be very similar.

    excellent link mate,
The technician did check the cables and insured that they are secured under the latch. I skimmed over the documentation and I think the only step he did not do is to remove the memory module and the hard drive. Do you think it is required to remove them before removin the keyboard?

Sounds like you are still under warranty so get the guy back there and raise hell when you place the call. It's a pain I know, and you want your machine working right now but this is the safest way of preserving your warranty (and of course building a documented case in the event that later you decide to push for a complete replacement)

Agree with Froogle. If a Dell technician caused the problem, then have a Dell technician fix the problem. It is important to call back immediately, and document the problem with Dell.

Because if you call a week later after you tried to open your laptop and fix it yourself, what proof do you have that it wasn't you who broke your own laptop when you took it apart? A very reasonable question that Dell will ask you is "Why did you take your laptop apart, rather than wait a week to call us?"
