    Has any other M11x-R2 owner seen this "no power" issue?

    I have an M11x-R2 and I was just browsing over the facebook then I opened a game, crysis 2. Before I even continue my saved game, my laptop just blackened. It's like the laptop died. It has no power. Even the lightings on the alienheads were gone. I'm sure it had not gone out of charge because the power cable/supply was plugged in. I tried restarting it but it won't work. I also tried draining all the excess charge on the unit by pressing the power button without the battery and tried restarting. It still doesn't work, no power, no light, no nothing.

    Remove the battery from the system. Try to power on with only the AC adapter plugged into the PC.

    I already did that, and it didn't work too. still no power and lights. Thanks for the feedback.

    Did you try reseting the motherboard? Remove the battery from the system and unplug the ac adapter and hold the power button for 10 seconds.

    If that doesn't work remove the RAM (one or more of your RAM moduals could be dammaged) prefferably put a new stick in, or try putting one or the other of the 2 old ones in.

    Try removing the battery & holding down power button, then let it sit for like 5 mins unplugged & without battery, then reconnect everything and see if it turns on.

    Issue happens with my Asus G73 aswell, that always seems to fix it. Tbh i think it's heat related somehow, just did a full disassemble and clean today so we'll see if it happens again.

    So to get it clear, it doesn't turn on at all anymore? or it just does that at random, can it be replicated by doing something?

    I had my SSD firmware updated, it would freeze A LOT, but it sort of stopped on its own, i guess adjusting itself what not, though from what i understood it just gone dark, as in unplug from the socket with no battery and not doesn't turn on anymore?

    Could be a power button issue. remove the keyboard and check the ribbon cables that go from into the motherboard under the keyboard. (not the ones that connect to the keyboard)
    Mainly the connector thats on the left side, just above the usb plug on the left.

    @ejohnson

    I checked the ribbon under the keyboard just above the usb port and the fan, (not those ribbons attached to the keyboard) i removed it and i plugged it back. it still doesn't work. do you guys think this has something to do with the motherboard or something?

    It could, but I would think that with a bad motherboard you would get at least a little sign of life.

    All the bad motherboards I have had turn on the lights but dont even get to the post screen.
