I've been using my M11x-R3 for the last week or so, and recently I thought I heard a little stuttering while playing some youtube video. I ran DPC Latency Checker and it seems like (although not as abnormally high as it was with the M17x-R1 before the fixes) the problem may exist.
Anyone else wants to try the following program on their R3's and post the results?

I'll be your huckleberry. How do you use this program?

Hi dude,
I have the same problems, but I have the R2. I ran a program called LatencyMon (it's like the DPC Latency Checker, but it actually identifies programs that cause lag), and it seems like it's a .sys file (which is a critical system file) that's causing the problem. I'll have to call Dell and see what they can do about it, because I'm a part-time DJ and the stuttering could ruin the mood of a party. -
ok well I got some crazy values absolute maximum went to 99171. consistently hitting around 8000, not good. I guess thats why I get stuttering and long pauses on some videos streaming on websites. so what do we do now to fix this?

Network adapters -> Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) Disable this lowered the max to 1183

Unless people start hearing the stuttering, this could all be benign. With that said, I think there may be a problem here. I, for one, don't have Bluetooth. My first thought would be NVIDIA. I went through this problem (if it exists) with my M17x-R1 (it is how I ended up getting an R2 as replacement) and it was caused by the NVIDIA cards.
If anyone has heard a stuttering, post here. For now, we should do more tests and be alert until we can confirm there is a problem.
Edit: Just re-read your posts DjKahn. OK, so you have seen and heard stuttering. This is definitely not good news. We need to track down what it's causing this, but last time the fix took quite a long time, and it wasn't pretty either until the very end. By that time a lot of people had moved on to the next revision of the M17x... -

Thanks for the link. I'll have a look at it now. Talk about jumping the gun... lol
Better search next time.
Edit: Back to square one. That thread seems unfinished. I hope the stuttering was my imagination. If it wasn't, I can see a free R4 replacement in my future... -

This is the quickest way to identify any 'problem' drivers/devices.
I posted this many moons ago. Take a look. Be sure to read the doc link. Much more user friendly for folks who are not familiar with using the Windows SDK tools...
When testing, be sure you test with both the current Dell NV driver for the 11xR3 and also give the current NV release driver a try. Once you have info from both, uninstall the NV driver completely and re-check. This will either rule out the GPU driver or confirm it. This same test can be used with other devices. Try it with the current driver and one without. Takes some investigation but can be pinned down.
