I wanted to try Guild Wars 2 but I was wondering what the performance will be on the M11xR1 before I decide on getting the game. Does the game run smoothly and is it playable?

Yes, the game is definitely playable. I was able to attain 20-35 fps on low-medium settings with AA/AF and shadows turned off. Just don't try to play WvWvW PvP, even top of the range computers struggle with hundreds of heroes fighting eachother in an enclosed space.

Bendak, please can you tell me how do you attain 20-35 fps? Everything on low, I was only able to get 14-20 fps which is completely unplayable on events, missions. I'm using windows 8 with nvidia 310 drivers. (on descrete mode) I also can't overclock my cpu because it gives blue screen after I overclock it. Can you please help? I definately want to play this game :(

I can't remember quite how I managed it. Average FPS, I believe, was 25ish on low. I was on Windows 7, used the default 335M drivers and had zero non-essential programmes running in the background (including command centre). Because the game is CPU dependant I suspect you'll have to overclock it to 1.73ghz otherwise you're doomed to suffer terrible frame issues. Sorry.
