I recently had to replace the HDD on my m11x laptop. Since I had lost the recovery discs, I installed Win 7 Ultimate fresh. I was able to get all of the necessary drivers from the dell support site, but the one for the wifi card does not work. It gives an error message saying it cannot be applied to my system.

Does anyone know for sure what type of hardware is in the m11x for wifi. And, where could I get a win 7 ultimate driver for it?

    Thanks!

Make sure you are grabbing the correct one - there is an Intel version and a Dell version. You need to pick the appropriate one for your card, which is most likely the Dell one.

Thanks. I had previously downloaded and ran the Dell wifi one (r262653). It ran for a bit but nothing happened.

Since you indicated that was the correct one, I pointed the hardware manager at that folder and it was able to install the drivers from the disk.

    Thanks again.
