M11xR2 APB Reloaded

The game runs great. Its in closed beta at the moment so things aren't very optimized (but looks good so far). If anyone is interested in the FRAPS benchmark results let me know I will post. In the meantime here is a gameplay by me video showing the flux in FPS.

Glad to see it's playing so well. I was really saddened when the game ended so quickly, and am looking forward to getting back into it once Reloaded launches.

 

The original beta was under the name just 'All points Bulletin' and the company went under but was bought out by GamersFirst, now its retitled APB Reloaded and is back in closed beta which is current for those that are unsure by your post. Also if you had a previous account in the original beta you can now reclaim it in the beta.

 

Oh, they were able to save the account names? Rad - how about characters? They said accounts were a longshot, I'm guessing characters even moreso.

 

Characters also. Try logining in with your old information. If not, email support admin on the website. I am sure they will be glad to give you access if you played in the previous version.

 

This game looks really interesting, considering it will be free when they release it (according to wiki :3)

 

Yes its one of those free to play games but if you want to buy a premium account for more/faster progress it helps (but you absolutely never have to)... Similarly to League of Legends in respects to RP and IP if you are familiar with that game.

 

I'm still impressed that it plays Black Ops so well.

still its going to be out in the first half of this year... so not too far away.

 

i have read it goes into open beta next week: 17th of may to be precise.

i'v been playing APB for along time now but on my desktop
i'v played on m11x R1 kinda a bit laggy ;p

 

what settings where you running it at? and is your GPU OC?

 

what resolution are you running it at? my personal standard is 30fps at 720p (lowest would be 25fps @720p). if it goes below 25fps then i bump down the resolution until i get some thing that is 30+fps stable.

 

1366x768. Also I turned my graphics up to maximum and I still get stable 30 frames per second but does drop when explosions go off, but other than that its fine.

And yes OPEN BETA is starting (has started) I would suggest getting this game its a lot of fun. To me its like Grand Theft Auto and World of Warcraft mixed together on Steroids.

well, it's the 18th on the US west coast so i am hoping it's an automated thing rather than it being activated by some guy pressing a button.

EDIT: There's not even a designated time too!

 

2am PDT came and went and it's still in closed beta....GGRRRRRR!

I am kind of confused as I got an email saying that they are coming out with an Open Beta build today/now. Hmmm

 

Yes, the release date for open beta was supposed to be the 18th. After reading their Facebook wall it appears they are having a player disconnection bug, so they have delayed launch until its fixed. So I guess its just a matter of waiting now :\

Edit: Alright this is just copy and pasted from their site,
"We have come across a new player disconnection issue that cropped up in the last 48 hours that has made us put a temporary hold on the launch of Open Beta until further notice. We are releasing a new Closed Beta patch today (patch 84) to further investigate the issue and will evaluate as soon as that patch is live this afternoon PST.

The issue manifests itself in disconnecting some groups of players after one to two hours of gameplay, which clearly is not acceptable in Open Beta.

In the meantime we are looking to our devoted community of Closed Beta testers to continue playing the game so we can continue recording data related to the issue and track down the root cause of this particular service-affecting problem.

If we determine after the next patch that the issue has been resolved, we will then proceed to release the game to the public.

As soon as we have more data we will update the community on Facebook, Blogs and through Twitter.

We are clearly disappointed that this afternoon's public launch has been put temporarily on hold, but in the end we strongly believe that first addressing this issue is the most critical and important step we can take as a development team.

As we have done throughout the entire re-launch we will continue being extremely communicative with the community, and will share any status updates as soon as they become available.

On a positive note, we are also in the middle of preparing a thank you “goodie-pack” of game items to all our Closed Beta players for their efforts over the past two months, and we will release that pack the week after Open Beta is released to the general public."
