So, there are plenty of Nvidia drivers floating around for the 335m, but I haven't seen any for the integrated Intel graphics. I decided to do some looking and

    Download links:

    -exe

Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Windows 7* 64 and Windows Vista* 64 (exe)

    -zip
Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Windows 7* 64 and Windows Vista* 64 (zip)

    -Release notes (.htm)
    Intel® Graphics Media Accelerato

These drivers were released 7/22/10, and I'm about to download and install them. Will do some testing and see if it improves battery life, etc.

Oh, and I think the correct order of installation is to install the Intel first, then Nvidia which means you might have to uninstall the Nvidia drivers, then the Intel, then install new Intel driver and finally the Nvidia ones. Such a long process D:

R-2 is OPTIMUS controlled. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the Nvidia drivers have/control both the intel and nvidia? Isn't seperate drivers only for manually switchable systems? (Such as R-1)

Nope, the intel IGP needs its own driver on the R2. The R1 is the one that has a single unified driver for both the IGP and GPU.

These latest drivers help with the display coming back on after sleep. Or something like that. It was discussed here about a month back.

Shouldn't have to uninstall Nvidia. The Intel and Nvidia drivers are completely separate and can be updated independent from one another.

The version in the title is incorrect, that is the version of the latest XP drivers. The version of these is 15.17.9.64.2182 (8.15.10.2182). I usually just refer to the Intel drivers by the last 4 numbers 2182.

You don't have to mess around uninstalling so many drivers back and forth. Thus is not how it works for optimus system. They have their own individual set of drivers which you install them separately. There is no such thing as the correct sequence for install the display drivers between the igp and gt335m. So it doesn't really matter which get install first. And you don't have to reinstall the nvidia driver after updating the igp driver to make them work right either

Same process for the intel as Nvidia drivers? because driver sweeper doesn't show intels driver. It does however say that there is an ATI display.

Kopicha, I didn't think there was a specific order too, but I spoke to an Alienware representative and that's what he said. Not that those agents know a lot.. but I suppose it's the safest way. I myself just installed them over my old one :p

I don't think I've noticed a difference in battery life, but this is just going by the discharge rate in battery bar.

Driver sweeper probably isn't really necessary..and apologize for the version mistake in the title, will fix it :D
