My brand new baby is locking up under simple use. Pretty much as it was out of the box. I've only installed a few games but haven't even launched anything yet. Going to try a restore to see if that helps. If not it looks like it's back to Dell. What a shame.

Try a system restore/recovery. Don't do a complete wipe... Because otherwise call Dellienware and tell them the systems locking up and you'd like a replacement. Say you need it for work and can't go without it still... They'll mail one to you and you send the old one back.

Since I only had it since Friday afternoon I decided to do a factory restore. So far so good. Maybe it was Windows update that made it hang up.

My R2 has experienced several lock-up once or twice a week, but from 2 weeks recently it doesn't. I just install update from Microsoft and newest driver from Nvidia.

the restore included a reformat. Seems to be doing okay for now. Left it on overnight and no lock ups. It did go into hibernation with hibernation turned off in power settings but that's not a big deal.

Seems stable now but getting a rundll32 error on the soundblaster dll. Need to find the driver to reload. Hope it's on the CD... of course the m11x doesn't have a CD so I'll have to pick up or borrow an external drive.
