Hey guys... why dont you swing out, download the free beta and try it out on the m11x.

I already posted my opinion about the game in the other forums but it needs serious help already.

just downloaded and played it. What a good game. Will 100% be buying this one. Graphics are pretty awesome as well.

 

I did indeed. Though hopefully the PB issued for R2 users will be resolved before it comes out.

 

Does this game run smoothly on M11X using highest setting?

@All - lots of aimbot and hacks going on. So.. you will be able to play be since they are just stressing testing so no punkbuster until go live.

So on my desktop with gtx 285 i7 920 etc i just played it at medium settings and noticed that sniping people i will shoot them in the head and it takes a second to register the kill... ? i wasnt lagging or anything i promise and my fps was over 100. Also another thing that pisses me off is if you are aiming down your sites with assault class or a sub machine gun and say you shoot 25/30 bullets if you hit R for reload it doesnt do anything. you have to un aim which is a pain. Snipeing sucks which is sad but i got 35 kills with 12 deaths my first game, i dont know if that means the game is good or too easy.

Also it seems like i run into an invisible something or other every once in awhile in the game and it stops my character... it happens every time i spawn it does that

One last thing, with the kill streaks you get like mortor,rocket attack i will be looking through the sites and it wont do the attack 3/4 the time! It will just say no target. I will have to run around and almost die to get it to let me pull the trigger. anyone else notice that? or know

 

ohh yeah and this is coming from someone who pre-ordered this game and loves BC2 to death.

 

just tried on m11x, runs stable 30 ish fps stock settings at native res

get kicked consistently 5 minutes into a game

no clue if its punkbuster though....tried disabling steam overlay but no dice

@Talon, been playing on and off all day... 2 play modes.. conquest and rush.. they call it something different..

 

Welp, I'm not impressed. Let's hope Black Ops does things right.

Edit: It works fine on the R1 with default settings at native resolution. Too bad the game looks washed out and the map designer need to be punched in the face.

 

i have to say i went into this not expecting much but i really like the feel of "combat" Worth buying i'd say

still not working with m11x though....

 

M11x guys, please post your settings, frame rates and any issues...

That's not what I meant. The color of the game looks extremely washed out. it does look realistic, it plays realistically, but I can't stand the two maps they gave us.

 

imo the maps are pretty fun. Although they are obviously meant snipers for one map and run-and-gun for the other.

I kept getting sniped from nowhere.

 

I got kicked for multiple direct 3d loaded! F*&%! I really hope they fix this soon! I wont buy this game until they do, thats forsure.

 

Keeps kicking me now as well. Last night I played for about 40 mins no problem.

 

I wonder if they now enabled PB due to overwhelming hacker complaints? I know for certain they were stress testing yesterday.. and boy was it busy...

Post your model (r1/r2) settings and FPS you are getting

 

r1, everything max except Shadows(low) and AA(1x), 30-40 fps. with smoke it might dip to 27/28. but it runs well.

The game is very boring and very bland compared to BF bc 2. I think I'll stick with BC 2 for now. Also I would excuse this game if it came before BF bc 2, but it coming after pass.

lol. I wouldn't know/care how to do that if you offered me a thousand quid. I play games, if they work well happy days, if not, oh well.

Just tried it for around 15 minutes. Native res and everything on medium with detail and textures on high. 30 - 40ish fps consistently. Just eye test though no fraps.

 

I install it. I had to add it to the list of game to used the 3D card. Then when I am in a game, I can't do nothing, My view point is just spinning like crazy.

Anybody got this?

 

I've been getting kicked as well with my R2. I can play for about 2-3 minutes before I get kicked, and I can catch a glimpse of the 'multiple direct 3d' error right before it happens, but it's really fast.

 

So I finally got my R1 tonight. I downloaded MoH beta. I first played it on medium settings at lower than 1366 x 768 cant remember what it set it up as after install and I was dipping into the 25 fps. I rebooted and enabled the OC for CPU. I was able to come back in and play at 28-45 fps with 1366 x 768.

I installed the new bios and drivers. I also OC the GPU to 489 and just ran another 24man game but this time with high settings at 1366 x 768 shadows to medium, no v sync, effects low and rest high settings and got 30-45 fps and as high as 55 at one point. I logged a fraps data benchmark but when I go to open the file nothing on my computer can read it, I havent used fraps before really.

I havent had time to do any optimizing really so hopefully fps will just get better.

 

Not got an m11x yet but been playing it on my desktop max'd out. Nice game, decent graphics, atmosphere and sound.

Someone said you can't reload while aiming, I had this issue first game but then next match it seemed to work or I didn't notice it.

Few points I dont like:
No PRONE
Can't bind reload to TAB as this is how I have it on all games.

 

@Rev - your trying to open the .CSV files. There is an actual file in the fraps directory called FRAPSLOG.TXT Open that up and take a look.

I tried it with the default settings (mostly Medium/High) at 1366x768, and got mostly playable framerates, 25-35 fps. Played it for about 1 hour. Once I do some optimizing I'm sure I can get it to run better.

Regarding the gamplay itself, I thought it was OK... It was fun, but not exactly special or great. Sometimes buggy/laggy (BETA). Going to give it another shot sometime and will post more detailed results...

 

When i played this game in closed beta & the R2 didnt have any issues scince there was no PB yet. The game ran real good after adjusting settings, I also found that the game ran even smoother with Vsync forced on. I force Vsync on my desktop as well & runs sweet with all settings high as they can go.

 

OK thanks, for some odd reason it wasnt in the benchmark folder. Go figure.

I had a average FPS of 35 and high of 60 with max res and high settings with just a few to medium like shadows and effects. This was on a 24/24 person game

 

@Rev - make sure you open the documents folder, edit the medal of honor beta settings file. Change render ahead = 2 to 0. You can try to change the dx level from auto to 10 or 9 as well. Best Wishes, Steven

 

I dont know if they fixed some things like the faulty mortar attacks etc but I am really starting to take my earlier post back on the game. I have played it more and am starting to like it. Just had to get used to it vs bc2

 

Also note that the multiplayer uses a different engine than the single player.
Single player is Unreal Engine so may play better or worse.

 

It's not bad at all, but for $60? I'll pass for now.

 

PC games are like 49 bucks

 

I don't know about MoH, but Bobby Konebrain wants 60 bucks per game. MW2and SC2 both managed to command that price, and we can surely bet other publishers will follow suit...
