i picked up metro 2033 last nite and when i tried to play it i got the error saying the game couldnt run because PhysXLoader.dll is missing. I googled around and tried installing the physX from the Steamapps/common/metro 2033/install but no luck, any ideas? (and yes i know it probobly wont run well on my r1 but it was 5 bucks i couldnt resist)

It does? How did you manage that haha, I have it on the lowest settings and on 1024x768 to make it run smoothly!

I will give your OC settings a try and see what I report..

I run the game using 550/1310/890, standard BIOS OC, and use game booster to stop unnecessary processes while gaming..

Not to sure what to say...I played for about 30 minutes with your OC and when I minimized at the end of a section to check my temp, the card had reset itself back to factory due to stability I guess. It did seem slightly more playable , but did not feel like an average of 30..Fraps typically had me at around the mid 20's average, but anywhere from 15-30. Still felt playable , but thats coming from someone who has really wanted to play the game.

    EDIT -UPDATE

I just ran the benchmark for the game and got the following..

Options: Resolution: 1280 x 720; DirectX: DirectX 9; Quality: Low; Antialiasing: AAA; Texture filtering: AF 4X; Advanced PhysX: Disabled; Tesselation: Not supported; DOF: Not supported

    Average Framerate: 16.00
    Max. Framerate: 503.78
    Min. Framerate: 0.95

I will be running it on a lower res to see what happens..

Seriously? Are we playing the same game? I was playing it just last night and after seeing my framerates hit 70 while playing I turned it up to medium, now I'm averaging about 30fps with occasional dips to about 26-28 for a second or two. Try running in dx 10 mode, I am and it's actually boosted my fps in other games too
