    Micro SD flush with side in M11 R2

    I think the r3 uses an external board for the usb 3? I know at least one of the exterior ports is 2.0 and I think its the self powered one, which means its directly connected to the motherboard. So Im pretty sure r3 is still 2.0 for that hookup.

    would it be easier to tape up the corresponding pin on the adapter's connector or on the actual connector in the M11x?

    glad i didn't get one off ebay then! the only option to try is the SD card adapter and see if that will get recognised by the m11x.

    there's another thread about it and someone else said they were able to get it to work no problems though i personally would like to see the adapter be listed in the device manager before i take their word on it!

    EDIT: now if the card adapter works and is able to read the card which format should i use - NTFS or exFAT? I have read people having issues with NTFS but exFAT has an increased per file limit of 16gb so that might be good for like movies and stuff....probably games too if the load times are good.

    exFat was designed around solid state storage. As long as all the devices you plan to use the SD cards in support exFat (which I'm sure it would), its the better format.
