The card is too far in for tweezers to get.

What do I need to remove on the m11x to get in there and how do I do it?

You won't void the warranty by opening it up. If you break something doing it, I'm not 100% sure if complete care/advanced care covers it. I know it covers accidentals like dropping, spillings etc.

Make sure to read it throughly if you are opening it up.

It's pretty easy to do, but becareful with keyboard wire when you are taking it off. The service manual gives you good cautions in steps, so read it through. The most painful part in my experience was taking off the palm rest.

I have no clue if the advanced warranty covers self inflicted damages though, so if you are calling it in, becareful how you put it. Some techs would send me parts saying since I have complete care, and if I end up breaking stuff, they will cover it, but you know how Dell is with their policies... it's usually different depending on who you talk to.

Just took the whole thing apart to find there is no access inside either. :(

Gonna take it to the local laptop repair shop to see if they can get it out.

There is no way for you to grab one end of it? Using stuff like needles?

if you can see and have a clean shot at the back of the card put some mactack or other non permanant adheisive on a toothpick and go fishing.
in extreme cases superglue gel on the end of a plastic strip cut from a credit card/store card/gift card works as well but more of a chance of gluing that inplace as well.

First of all, the M11x does NOT have a microSD slot :p I think you pushed your microSD in the SIM card slot.
Not the smartest move I guess... xD Sorry, but i LOL'd

Um your suppose to use an adapter for the micro sd card. It's an SD slot. Very carefully with a tooth pick put a drop of instant glue on the tip of the toothpick. then touch it to the Micro sd card, wait for it to dry then pull.

You put pb&j samiches in the vcr as a kid didn't you? j/k
