Hey all,
I searched this on the forum and didn't find anything.
I installed Microsoft Communicator for work purpose but I can't configure the microphone properly.
Here is my question:
Is there not suppose to be a microphone hole next to the webcam?
In sound properties I only find the Realtek HD Audio one, which I suppose is the one on the right side (3rd jack). I was expecting to see a separated micro from the webcam (?).
I never touched that part of software/driver so it didn't change since I received the laptop 5 month ago.
Any one could help me on this ? check on their lappy if there is a separated microphone ?
Eventually I wonder If I'm missing some peice of driver (the webcam works perfectly btw).
Thanks![]()

That hole to the left of the camera is the microphone. Right-click on your speaker icon in the systray and choose Recording Devices. It should show up there and allow you to see that it's currently active (green check mark). Clap loudly and you'll see the meter register.
EDIT: You should see this:

Thanks for your answer, here is what I have:
As you can see I have only one micro in the list, and even shouting at the thing won't raise the green bar up...
Not sure why, I browsed all sound panels but didn't find anything... I'll try deactivate / reactivate it.
