I've read a lot about this sleeve, including in this forum, but I just want to know one thing from those of you who use it: What is the limit for what the outer sleeve can hold? I'd mainly want it to hold a relatively small BT headset and, secondarily, a small BT travel mouse & small mousepad. Could it handle those? What about the power brick & cords? And what about the Dell 12.7 external optical drive?

You might be able to fit a tiny bluetooth earpiece (not an entire headset). A mousepad will fit because it's flat, but unless the mouse is ridiculously small, it won't fit in there. The power brick with cords and the external optical drive will definitely not fit.

I have the sleeve and I only use the outside pocket to carry flash drives. I almost always put the laptop with the sleeve in my backpack, so I just put bigger items in there.

All right. Well, I was hoping for something that would fit more or less exactly those items I mentioned. The BT mouse and headset, I mean. Don't care so much about the brick or drive. So, a backpack or messenger bag would be too much. Maybe I will go for the portfolio, then. Any experience with that?

I've got the portfolio, and the outer pocket barely holds the power brick and cord. Full headphones are a definite no-go though, and a mouse alone would fit just fine.

My Razer Orochi fits in my Orion Sleeve. It bulges but it fits.

I don't mind bulging. I wouldn't always bring the mouse, anyway. Can you fit anything else in there with it?

And I'm a little shocked to learn the portfolio can't manage much, either. I figured it was designed for the purpose of holding a little more than just your laptop. As in, a couple of peripherals or accessories. Otherwise, it would be just another sleeve.
